Workpackage Summary
Six workpackages have been identified and developed in areas crucial to helping ensure the proper development of the marine renewables sector in Scotland.
Joint Industry Project funding (JIP), where ICIT is seeking £30k per sponsor per year (£150K for 5 years), will enable the development of a number of key research strands within each of these workpackages, the development of further research proposals, and will draw in other key researchers from the university sector.
All JIP sponsors will be represented on the steering group for MREDS, and sponsorship provides the opportunity to shape the research programme as it develops. All research will be for open publication, but available in advance to all steering group members.
